Witch Doctor passives

Passive skills replaced Traits late in game development. Many passives are very similar to previously-known traits, with the main changes coming in changes to the character level requirements, and the fact that passives are on/off, rather than using 1, 3, or 5 points, as Traits did. Characters only get three passive in total, with one slot opening up for a passive at Clvl 10, 20, and 30.

Witch Doctor Passives

This list is tentative and based on the beta build. Expect further refinements in the final game.


Mana Regeneration

Mana Regeneration is enabled at level 3.
Regenerates Template:Cyanize of maximum mana per second.


Mind and Body

Mind and Body is enabled at level 3.
Regenerates Template:Cyanize health per minute.


Spiritual Attunement

Spiritual Attunement is enabled at level 3.
Increases maximum mana by Template:Cyanize.


Care of the Master

Care of the Master is enabled at level 6.
Increases the health of pets by Template:Cyanize.


Quickening

Quickening is enabled at level 6.
Increases casting speed by Template:Cyanize.


Spirit Vessel

Spirit Vessel is enabled at level 6.
Health globes provide Template:Cyanize of maximum mana when picked up.


Aggression

Aggression is enabled at level 12.
Increases attack by Template:Cyanize.


Superior Skill

Superior Skill is enabled at level 12.
Increases precision by Template:Cyanize.


Expert Defense

Expert Defense is enabled at level 12.
Increases defense by Template:Cyanize.


Toughness

Toughness is enabled at level 12.
Increases vitality by Template:Cyanize.


Death Pact

Death Pact is enabled at level 18.
When the Witch Doctor has under Template:Cyanize health, damage taken is reduced by Template:Cyanize.


Leader of the Pack

Leader of the Pack is enabled at level 18.
Increases damage dealt by Zombie Dogs by Template:Cyanize.


Ritual of Blood

Ritual of Blood is enabled at level 18.
Template:Cyanize of mana costs for skills is taken from health instead.


Ferocity

Ferocity is enabled at level 24.
Increases pet damage dealt by Template:Cyanize.


Plagued

Plagued is enabled at level 24.
Increases Animal and Plague skill damage by Template:Cyanize.


Rituals

Rituals is enabled at level 24.
Increases damage by Template:Cyanize of health. (Unknown if max or current health.)


Zombie Master

Zombie Master is enabled at level 24.
Increases Zombie skill damage by Template:Cyanize.

By the July 2011 Press Event, the skill system had once again been completely redesigned. The traits system was scrapped, and replaced by a new version of passive skills, but still separate from the active skills. Although 15 of the Witch Doctor's traits were turned into passives, 15 of them were removed, and 2 passives were brand new: Aggression and Expert Defense.

The list of Witch Doctor passives shown at the press event is likely still in development and may change before game release. Also, the levels of the passives are a hold-over from when they were traits and will be changed.
