Life Link
Life Link is a rune effect in Summon Zombie Dogs, a Support Witch Doctor skill that creates undead hounds to tank for the Witch Doctor.
This rune effect causes the Zombie Dogs to absorb 10% of all damage done to the Witch Doctor. For instance, if the WD takes a hit for 100 damage, with this rune effect and dogs present, 10 of that damage would be taken by the dogs, thus mitigating the damage taken by the Witch Doctor. A red trail of vapor connects the WD and the dogs when this effect kicks in.
Like most other Mongrel runes, this one was initially irrelevant since the dogs themselves died instantly on higher difficulties. As the dogs have to be alive for Life Link to work, this rune effect was effectively removed from function, especially against Act Bosses and other tough elites, which was exactly when the Witch Doctor needed it the most.
