Broad Sweep
Broad Sweep is a rune effect in Cleave, a Fury-generating Barbarian skill.
This rune effect does not change the function of Cleave, but increases the base skill damage from 140% to 175%.
Post-Release Changes
Cleave was buffed in the v1.0.4 patch, increasing the skill's damage and improving all of the rune effects in the process.[1]
- Cleave changes in v1.0.4:
- Weapon damage increased from 120% to 140%
- Skill Rune – Broad Sweep
- Weapon damage increased from 156% to 175%
- Proc coefficient increased from 0.5 to 0.8

Prior to the February 2012 skill and rune system revision, this effect was created by the Crimson Rune, which yielded the following effect:
