Arcane Nova
Arcane Nova is a rune effect in Arcane Orb, a high cost, high damage Offensive Wizard skill.
This rune effect increases the exposion splash to 20 yards, greatly improving the damage potential of the spell, especially when used against large groups of enemies. Note that doubling the radius doesn't merely double the area of effect, but increases it closer to 4x, thanks to the magic of geometry.
The damage is unchanged, remaining at 175% weapon damage, but the color changes to a dark blue, both on the orb and in the explosion graphic. This is a very useful improvement to the skill, and when used against appropriately large, bunched enemies, this can be a devastating attack, even with the hefty resource cost.

Prior to the skill revision in February 2012, this rune effect was enabled by the Indigo Rune, granting the following effect with a level 7 runestone:
