Gargantuan is a Witch Doctor skill enabled at level 18. It summons a large zombie to fight for the Witch Doctor. This skill has never been demonstrated, so nothing is known about what sort of zombie it summons.

The Witch Doctor summons forth a huge lumbering gargantuan to do his bidding.

Skill Effects

Skill		Effect
Gargantuan (Level 18)		Summon a large zombie follower to fight for you. The Gargantuan swings for 18 - 25 physical damage with every swing. Cost: 528 Mana. Cooldown: 120 seconds.
	Restless Giant	When the Gargantuan encounters an Elite enemy or is faced with 5 enemies nearby it enrages for 15 seconds gaining: • 50% movement speed • 50% attack speed • 200% physical damage This effect cannot occur more than once every 120 seconds. Elite enemies include Champions, Rares, Bosses and other players.
	Humongoid	Gargantuan gains a Cleave ability allowing its attacks to hit multiple targets for 700% physical damage.
	Big Stinker	The Gargantuan is surrounded in a poison cloud, dealing 32 Poison damage per second to nearby enemies.
	Wrathful Protector	The Gargantuan only lasts 20 seconds but is also more powerful. The Gargantuan's fists burn with fire, dealing 82 - 139 additional Fire damage and knocking enemies back with every hit.
	Bruiser	Gargantuan periodically slams enemies, dealing 124 - 139 physical damage and stunning them for 3 seconds.

Note: Information is based on a level 60 character and rank 7 runestones.

Skill Design

The Gargantuan is one of the Witch Doctor's pets, and serves as a tank. Jay Wilson described it in an interview:[1]

One of the newest pets that we've added to the Witch Doctor, which is the Gargantuan, which is a big giant, kind of, tough zombie creature that is designed more to absorb damage and kind of distract enemies.

Development

Gargantuan has only been seen in the hover descriptions at BlizzCon 2009 and 2010. It's never been seen in use, and the descriptions don't seem to have changed much over time. It was still listed when skill tiers were removed for the July 2011 Press Event, and Gargantuan became a level 18 skill.
