Skill Design

Not much is known about this skill, since it was pretty high in the skill tree in the BlizzCon 2009 demo. It could be a combination of Ground Stomp and Seismic Slam, causing a huge seismic slam in all directions that either knockbacks, stuns or do both to enemies. It could very well be that this skill is still being worked on, and may be changed or removed in the future.

Synergies

The following Barbarian passives provide a benefit to Earthquake, runed or not:

Development

Earthquake was introduced at BlizzCon 2009 in the Juggernaut Skill Tree at Tier VI. For the BlizzCon 2010 demo, after skill trees were removed, Earthquake was a Tier 7 skill. At both events, it was too high a level to try out, so there are no gameplay reports describing it.

Skill tiers were removed for the July 2011 Press Event, and Earthquake became a level 24 skill, and then a level 21 skill. The skill system was once again overhauled for the Beta Patch 13, and Earthquake was classified as a Rage skill and moved to level 19.
