Anathema is a rune effect in Rain of Vengeance, a Hatred-spending Demon Hunter skill.

This rune effect summons a single shadow beast which hovers overhead, moving randomly and dropping grenades for 10 seconds, each of which burst for 114% weapon damage.

Prior to the skill revision in February 2012, this rune effect was enabled by the Obsidian Rune, granting the following effect with a level 7 runestone:
