This cloud lingers for 3 seconds in the place of anything that dies from the Lcousts, dealing 25% weapon damage to anything that passes through the area.  The damage is negligible in the larger scheme of things, but like many Witch Doctor skills, this one is about adding just a bit more damage from multiple sources, all adding up to a considerable damage output.

Diseased Swarm is a rune effect in Locust Swarm, is a Physical Realm Witch Doctor skill.

This rune effect adds a poisonous cloud of insects to the skill. This cloud lingers for 3 seconds in the place of anything that dies from the Lcousts, dealing 25% weapon damage to anything that passes through the area. Targets killed by the Locust Swarm leave behind a disease cloud that deals 50% weapon damage per second as Poison to enemies in the cloud. The cloud lasts 3 seconds.
