Intimidation is a passive skill available exclusively to the Barbarian. It increases damage done to monsters as well as reducing vendor costs.

Lore[edit | edit source]

Not known yet.

Design[edit | edit source]

Increases damage dealt by 15% and reduces repair costs by 5%.

This is an unusual property, granting bonus damage to monsters, and putting the fear of God into NPCs to the point that they offer price discounts.

Level Requirement[edit | edit source]

Synergies[edit | edit source]

No synergies with any active skills or other passive skills are known.

Development[edit | edit source]

Passive skills have had a long and storied history. When Diablo III debuted at the WWI 2008, skill trees included passive skills, much like in Diablo II. In 2010, it was announced that passive skills had been renamed traits and separated out from active skills. At the July 2011 Press Event, Blizzard announced that passive skills were once again in the game, replacing the traits system. Like many passive skills, Intimidation was moved directly from a trait of the same name when traits were changed back to passive skills in early 2011. Neither the name nor the function changed, though the stats may have been tweaked slightly.

See the traits page for more details on previous versions of this and many other passive skills.
