Pyrogeist maintains a single advantage over Fire Pit in that it has a more reliable chance to hit an enemy, due to it's ability to track movement.  This skill seems to be geared towards hard-to-hit targets such as Burrowing Leapers, Desert Hornets, and at some point, other players during PvP matches.

Pyrogeist is a rune effect in Firebomb, is a Physical Realm Witch Doctor skill.

This rune effect changes the firebomb to a column of flame that spews fire at the closest enemy for 140% weapon damage over 3 seconds. Only one Pyrogeist may be active at one time.

The range of the Pyrogeist flames is medium to far.
