IconManaRegeneration.jpg

Mana Regeneration is a passive skill available exclusively to the Witch Doctor. Points invested into this skill allow the character to regenerate mana at an increased rate.

Lore[edit | edit source]

Not known yet.

Design[edit | edit source]

Regenerates 2% of maximum mana per second.

This value seems extremely low, given how the developers have talked about passive skills all adding substantial, noticeable bonuses. Just 1 point in Warmth, a Sorceress skill in Diablo II, was worth 30% faster regeneration, with additional points adding 12% each.

Level Requirement[edit | edit source]

Synergies[edit | edit source]

No synergies with any active skills or other passive skills are known.

Development[edit | edit source]

Passive skills have had a long and storied history. When Diablo III debuted at the WWI 2008, skill trees included passive skills, much like in Diablo II. In 2010, it was announced that passive skills had been renamed traits and separated out from active skills. At the July 2011 Press Event, Blizzard announced that passive skills were once again in the game, replacing the traits system. Like many passive skills, Mana Regeneration was moved directly from a trait of the same name when traits were changed back to passive skills in early 2011. Neither the name nor the function changed, though the stats may have been tweaked slightly.

See the traits page for more details on previous versions of this and many other passive skills.
