Studies for a Wizard, in how to weaken enemies affected by Arcane spells.

Skill Design

This would presumably stack with other passives that increase the damage and critical hit % of individual spell types, or all spells in general.

An interesting sort of Arcane Mastery. It sounds almost like a Curse, weakening monsters against all types of attacks, from all players. It was far too high level to test out at BlizzCon 2009, so there's no telling if it actually does what the description hints at.

Skill Rank Table

  • Rank 1: 10% damage increase for 5 sec.
  • Rank 2: 20% damage increase for 5 sec. (projected)
  • Rank 3: 30% damage increase for 5 sec. (projected)
  • Rank 4: 40% damage increase for 5 sec. (projected)
  • Rank 5: 50% damage increase for 5 sec. (projected)

Skill Rune Effects

  • None known.

Development

Arcane Weakness was first shown at BlizzCon 2008 when the Wizard was unveiled. It had some minor changes, including a move to Tier 5, and doubling the percentage of damage at the demo shown at BlizzCon 2009.
