Thorns of the Invoker

Thorns of the Invoker are a set of items with a required character level of 70 and are only available in the expansion pack, Reaper of Souls. The set is comprised of 4 pieces of armor, the Burden of the Invoker, Crown of the Invoker, Pride of the Invoker, and Shackles of the Invoker. They can be equipped by any character class, though the items and the set bonuses boost Thorns damage, which is best utilized by melee combat characters.

Blizzard has said that this set was meant to be a Crusader-themed set, but they didn't get the Thorns bonuses well-enough aligned with that class, though they hope to tweak it to that extent in the future.

These items drop as loot, and are not crafted via the Blacksmith or Jeweler.

Set Bonuses

Diablo 3 provides special bonuses for equipping two or more items from the same set.

• The Ring of Royal Grandeur reduces the number of items needed for set bonuses by 1 (to a minimum of 2).

Thorns of the Invoker item set bonuses (2) Set: Ranged and melee attackers take 4000 damage per hit (4) Set: Your Thorns damage now hits all enemies in a 15 yard radius.
