Blood-Magic Edge.

Blood-Magic Edge is a crafted legendary dagger that can only be created in Reaper of Souls. This item requires Cultist Blood, one of the legendary materials for each item crafted.

To create this item, find the Plan: Blood-Magic Edge, which can be randomly dropped randomly by any level 70 target, and teach the plan to the Blacksmith. Once learned by the smith, any character on your account can make as many of these as you can afford to create. Daggers can be used by any class.

Blood-Magic Edge stats

This legendary dagger has an ornamental legendary affix and inherent Attack Speed, plus potentially higher numbers than any rare weapon. It's usable by any class as a melee weapon and hits very quickly, so can be of good use to fast-attacking builds, though players will want to find a legendary weapon with a more useful legendary bonus, long term.

Blood-Magic Edge: Legendary Dagger

Crafting

Once a player finds the randomly-dropped plan and teaches it to the Blacksmith, the item can be created by any character on that account. This item always has a lvl 70 requirement, no matter what level character crafts it. The Smart Loot system means that this item will usually roll with a mainstat and/or +skill damage bonus appropriate to the class of the character that creates it.

Legendary Material

Cultist-blood.jpg

The required legendary material, Cultist Blood, is one of the most common legendary mats in the game, since there are many targets capable of dropping it. It comes from Cultists, the hooded humans found throughout much of Acts 1 and 2. These drop from the melee or the mage type type, but not from Cultist Summoners or Berzerkers. Numerous of these enemies are available as bounties, or can be found randomly spawning.
