The Darkness of Radament is a recipe for Kanai's Cube that converts gems from one type to another. This is useful to turn unwanted gem types into ones you need, either to socket into your gear or to spend for enchanting. This recipe changes 9 gems at a time into the same quality of any other type of gem, specified by the type of Gem Essence you use in the Cube.
Note that the recipe requires 9 gems. It will not work with 8 or fewer (larger stacks can be used and the game will simply subtract 9.) Since the Gem Essences cost 500,000 gold each, a player who isn't yet rich in gold will want to upgrade the initial gem type, then convert those, rather than converting dozens of Marquise or Imperial gems.
This cube recipe also makes The Broken Crown much easier to use, since players no longer need to put the type of gem they want into that helm. Players can simply equip their normal gem type in the helm, and then convert the extra gems of that type.
Recipe[edit | edit source]
- 9x any gem (same type/quality)
- 1 Gem Essence (of the gem type you want)
- 5 Death's Breath
- "...in time, the cube became the center of the Horadric works. Every initiative or action required it, and those who survived its creation became increasingly haunted by its presence."
- --fragment of the Dark Exile Scrolls.
