Most players accumulate these in quantity, in part because this, along with [[Griswold's Scribblings]], are the only two legendary materials that can be found from targets below level 70. That's more of an issue with Griswold's Scribblings though, as they are much less common than the Adventurer's Journal.

Pender's Purchase database.

Pender's Purchase are crafted legendary gloves that can only be created in Reaper of Souls.

To create these, find the Plan: Pender's Purchase, which can be randomly dropped randomly by any level 70 target, and teach the plan to the Blacksmith.

Pender's Purchase properties

These gloves have no inherent stats and no legendary property. The can roll with higher numbers than rare shoulders, but the lack of any special modifiers means that numerous legendary and crafted set gloves will offer better bonuses for the end game. That said, the fact that these gloves are cheap to make and require the most common legendary material makes them a good option for new players or players without a lot of accumulated wealth.

  • All stats listed in the database scale up to the level of the belt when dropped.
  • See the sample screenshots below to see how this belt will roll at level 70.

Crafting

Once a player finds the randomly-dropped recipe, Plan: Pender's Purchase, and teaches it to the Blacksmith, the item can be created by any character on that account. This item always has a lvl 70 requirement, no matter what level character crafts it. The Smart Loot system means that this item will usually roll with a mainstat and/or +skill damage bonus appropriate to the class of the character that creates it.

Crafting Costs:

Patch 2.0.6 controversially[1] removed Legendary Materials, which changed the crafting costs for every level 70 RoS recipe. Prior to that patch Board Walkers required 1 Adventurer's Journal and 1 Death's Breath.

Item Examples

Several examples of this item can be seen below. View more samples of Pender's Purchase via DiabloNut's armory.

Legendary Material

Legendary Materials were controversially[2] removed in Patch 2.0.6. The following is archived for posterity.

Adventurers-journal.jpg

The required legendary material, Adventurer's Journal is the most common of all the legendary materials. It can drop from most clickable objects in the game, including dead bodies, loose floor tiles, rotten logs, etc.

Most players accumulate these in quantity, in part because this, along with Griswold's Scribblings, are the only two legendary materials that can be found from targets below level 70. Ironically, the great number of possible drop sources for these two materials makes them very hard to farm intentionally, since there's no specific target to aim for with a set drop rate that increases on higher difficulty levels. That's more of an issue with Griswold's Scribblings though, as they are much less common than the Adventurer's Journal.
