Daggers are a type of caster weapon in Diablo III. In the game they are their own class of weapons; not just a short type of sword, as was the case in Diablo II.
Currently, only Wizards and Witch Doctors can use daggers, and as caster weapons, daggers will probably not spawn with +damage and other combat modifiers.
