Jewelry in Diablo III refers to rings and amulets, the same types of jewelry that were present in Diablo 1 and Diablo 2.
Little is yet known about the properties of jewelry in Diablo III. We do know that rings and amulets will not have sockets, at least not in the initial version of the game.
- in.Diablo.d3: Can you put gems into any other gear?
- Jay Wilson: Not now, but maybe later.
- in.Diablo.d3: Like jewelry?
- Jay Wilson: Not jewelry. We have some ideas for things like jewelry, and we’re not sure if they’ll make it into this game. But we’ll have more types of socketed items in expansions, so they’ll show up eventually.
Crafting
There will be crafting recipes connected to jewelry, in which the Jeweler will be able to create or upgrade existing rings and amulets. No details about these have yet been revealed.
