Odyn Son is a legendary mace that can be found in Diablo 3 and Reaper of Souls. This item can be found and equipped by any class. Maces are popular items for all classes except Demon Hunters.
The Smart Drop system ensures that this legendary mace will usually roll with the mainstat appropriate to the class that finds it.
Odyn Son properties[edit | edit source]
This item has a helpful legendary affix that regularly sends out charges of Chain Lightning. These charges can hit up to three times, but have a short bounce range, and will only chain to enemies that are fairly close to the initial target. Hit priorities:[1]
- If there is only one target, (such as an Elite) it will take all three charges.
- If there are two enemies in range, the one being hit when the proc occurs will take no hits, and all 3 will hit the second, non-targeted enemy.
- If there are three or more enemies in range, the main target will be skipped and the 3 hits will divide amongst the other enemies.
There is no internal cooldown for the proc and it can trigger multiple times in a row. The damage from the Chain Lightning is boosted by Critical hit damage, but it is not buffed by +% lightning skill damage affixes.
- All stats listed in the database scale up to the level of this item when dropped.
- See the sample screenshots below to see how this item will roll at level 70.
