Andariel's Visage.

Andariel's Visage is a legendary helm that can be found in Diablo 3 and Reaper of Souls. This item can be found and equipped by any class, though it's most popular with Wizards.

The Smart Drop system ensures that this helm will usually roll with the mainstat appropriate to the class that finds it. Helms can roll with +skill bonuses as well, and these will also usually get Smart Loot'ed to appropriate skills for your class.

Andariel's Visage properties

This item has multiple oddities in the stats. There are five primary affixes, but one of them is a debuff that causes the wearer to take extra damage from fire attacks. There's an inherent boost to Attack Speed, which can not otherwise be had on a helm. And this also one of the few items with guaranteed Elemental Damage, adding 15-20% damage to skills of one elemental type, and this is a very coveted affix.

There's even a legendary affix, a chance to blast out a Poison Nova when hit, though it's not so powerful an effect that it has much impact on which classes and builds use this item. The legendary effect was very much more powerful during Beta testing, triggering almost constantly for melee characters, and creating a sort of Poison Aura around them. The proc chance was greatly reduced in the final game, turning the Poison Nova from a feature into a novelty.

  • All stats listed in the database scale up to the level of this item when dropped.
  • See the sample screenshots below to see how this belt will roll at level 70.
