The Magistrate is a legendary wizard hat that can be found in Diablo 3 and Reaper of Souls. This item can only be equipped by the Wizard, and will only very rarely drop for any other class.
The Smart Drop system ensures that wizard hats will usually roll with Intelligence, or at least never roll with Strength or Dexterity. Any bonus skill damage will be tuned to Wizard skills as well.
The Magistrate properties[edit | edit source]
This item has a very fun legendary affix, where the the Frost Hydra rune effect will occasionally cast a Frost Nova, which hits all enemies in the area and deals good damage plus a chilling effect.
