Kethryes' Splint are crafted legendary bracers that can only be created in Reaper of Souls.
To create these, find the Plan: Kethryes' Splint, which can be randomly dropped randomly by any level 70 target, and teach the plan to the Blacksmith.
Kethryes' Splint bracers[edit | edit source]
These bracers have no inherent or legendary affix, and can be outdone by numerous legendary and set bracers. That said, these can roll with bigger numbers than rare bracers, and since the potential critical hit chance and +15-20% elemental damage makes bracers are a very important item slot for overall offensive output, players may benefit from making a lot to seek a near-perfect roll on their bracer for the end game.
- All stats listed in the database scale up to the level of the belt when dropped.
- See the sample screenshots below to see how this belt will roll at level 70.

Crafting[edit | edit source]
Once a player finds the randomly-dropped recipe, Plan: Kethryes' Splint, and teaches it to the Blacksmith, the item can be created by any character on that account. This item always has a lvl 70 requirement, no matter what level character crafts it. The Smart Loot system means that this item will usually roll with a mainstat and/or +skill damage bonus appropriate to the class of the character that creates it.
Crafting Costs:
- 36,720 Gold
- 25 Reusable Parts
- 120 Arcane Dust
- 7 Veiled Crystal
- 2 Forgotten Soul
Patch 2.0.6 controversially[1] removed Legendary Materials, which changed the crafting costs for every level 70 RoS recipe. Prior to that patch Kethryes' Splint required 1 Urn of Quickening and 1 Deaths Breath.
Item Examples[edit | edit source]
Several examples of this item can be seen below. View more samples of Kethryes' Splint via DiabloNut's armory.
Legendary Material[edit | edit source]
Legendary Materials were controversially[2] removed in Patch 2.0.6. The following is archived for posterity.
The required legendary material, Urn of Quickening comes only from Lacuni Huntresses, the smaller, female version of the Lacuni. These leap attack panthers are found mostly in the Act Two desert region, but also appear in the Act Three ice caverns. None of them are found in the same place every game, none are tied to common events, and they are seldom seem as bounties, making this material not so easy to farm.
