Ceremonial Knives are melee weapons that can only be equipped by the Witch Doctor. These weapons deal comparable damage and Attack Speed to other one-handed melee weapons, but may spawn with special bonuses just for the Witch Doctor, such as increased maximum mana or mana regeneration rate.

Not all Witch Doctors use a ceremonial knife, as there are excellent one-handed melee alternatives, but some of the special legendary affixes on legendary ceremonial knives are much desired by players for their end game gear.

Legendary Ceremonial Knives[edit | edit source]

There are a wide variety of legendary knives for the Witch Doctor to choose from. Thanks to the scaling item system introduced in D3v2 and present in RoS, the stats, armor, and damage on all items scales appropriately, according to the target that drops it. Thus any weapon or armor can be viable for the end game if dropped by a level 70 target.
