Wands are one-handed weapons used by spell-casters in Diablo III. These are not class-specific items, but it seems that only Wizards and Witch Doctors can equip them. Barbarians, Monks, and the Demon Hunter are not permitted to equip or use wands.
The Wand is the primary weapon of the Wizard, requiring only one-hand, leaving the possibility of adding Orbs. They can be acquired by monster drops or by the Blacksmith and have different effects.
