Cauldron in the UI.

The Cauldron of Jordan is awarded from a quest early in the game, which allows players to sell items while in the field for vendor cost. Specifics on this are not know, as an example, will the player get the full item value as if they returned to town, or will there be a depreciation? Not much else is known currently about the Cauldron. It was announced during the late-July press event in 2011.

Much like the Nephalem Cube, the Cauldron of Jordan is not an item that sits in the player's inventory, like the Horadric Cube of yore. It is now a user interface element that appears near the paperdoll in the inventory pane.
