Skill Design

The damage listed is based on the crappy low level weapon the Barbarian was holding at the time, so don’t read too much into that 14-20 damage. This would presumably be a hugely damaging skill at higher levels, when big weapons were equipped. We haven’t used it, but one assumes it’s a sort of magical skill, where the melee weapon is not actually discarded, but only projected as a sort of virtual ranged weapon, while remaining in the Barbarian’s hands for additional use. Handy to whip this out once in a while to deal with a pesky ranged attacker, or something with wings?

Nothing is yet known about throwing weapons in D3. We’ve never seen any while playing at either Blizzcon, but they might just be disabled, or not yet added into the game.
