Threatening Shout is a tier III skill in the Berserker Skill Tree, which debuffs enemies around the Barbarian, making them deal less damage for a period of time.

Warcries in Diablo 3 are quite identical to the warcries in diablo 2, except being less in number and requiring fury to use (assumption). This skill is most familiar to the "Battle Cry" in Diablo 2, except this skill only gives a reduction to damage while Battle Cry gave a reduction to Defense as well.

Skill Design

This Skill is a warcry, and a good one at that. If the Barbarian runs into enemies with really high damage, this skill is a life saver, making the fight that much easier. It is unknown if this warcry will affect act bosses, or bosses in general, it is highly doubted, since bosses always have more WAAAAGH than you.

Development

Threatening Shout is the only Warcry in the Berserker skill tree so far, it appears to have been re-iterated multiple times since it's unveiling in WWI along with Diablo 3. At one time, this skill was called "Terrifying Shout" and gave a damage bonus to the Barbarian and presumably, party members. Later, this skill became Threatening Shout and gave the effects as seen above, only much stronger at rank one.
