This seems a natural trait for the Barbarian, but it's a bit surprising that the Monk possesses it as well. Nothing in that class' design or presentation thus far has hinted at his competency with or preference for a sword.  Also note how much lower level the Monk's requirement for this trait is; perhaps it's meant as an early-mid game option, enabling the Monk to go [[sword]]/[[shield]] for a time, before moving to his ideal two-handed staff or dual wielding [[fists]] in the late game, once he's strong enough to do without a shield.

Die by the Sword is a trait possessed by the Barbarian and Monk. It enables those classes to boost their damage while wielding a sword.

Die by the Sword Properties[edit | edit source]

Die by the Sword

  • Clvl Req:
    • Barbarian: 35
    • Monk: 15
  • Description: Increases damage done when the character is wielding a sword or swords.
  • Max points: 3
    • Rank One: Unknown.
    • Rank Two: Unknown.
    • Rank Three: Unknown.
  • Lore: Not yet known.

This seems a natural trait for the Barbarian, but it's a bit surprising that the Monk possesses it as well. Nothing in that class' design or presentation thus far has hinted at his competency with or preference for a sword. Also note how much lower level the Monk's requirement for this trait is; perhaps it's meant as an early-mid game option, enabling the Monk to go sword/shield for a time, before moving to his ideal two-handed staff or dual wielding fists in the late game, once he's strong enough to do without a shield.

Classes[edit | edit source]

This is a Barbarian and Monk trait.

Synergies[edit | edit source]

In addition to the skills and traits that provide bonuses across the board, a few other traits pair very nicely with this trait's bonuses.
