The Dahlgur Oasis forms part of Act II and is located in the Borderlands, in the Kehjistan empire, not too far from Alcarnus and Lut Bahadur.

This is the farming region for Caldeum and is where most of the water comes for the area. It fuelled the rise of Caldeum. Legend has it that a mysterious desert prophet named Algert came in from the wastes, showed the early city fathers the oasis, then vanished never to be seen again.

Background

400 years ago, precious ores were found in the Stinging Winds, and the Caldeum Dune Guard military outpost of Lut Bahadur got company in the wastelands by the newly built town of Alcarnus and many smaller settlements. The discovery of the Dahlgur oasis and a third town in the Borderlands made the area full of life and trade.

In later years, Hakan II has seen fit to withdraw the support of Caldeum from the wastes and leave those who live there to their own devices. At the moment, no caravan is safe and refugees from the Borderlands come to Caldeum every day.

The refugees report on cultist activities in the area and in Alcarnus.
