The Scoundrel's Journal is found in a stolen sack somewhere just before the slope up to The Old Mill in the Fields of Misery in Act I. You don't need to be on any particular quest for this to appear (if you don't already have the journal).
Only one of your characters needs to find the journal for you to be credited with it.
To find out which journals you have found so far go to your Achievements list (press Y) and check:
- Campaign > Act I > A Quick Study
