Wood Wraiths are not just living, Ent-like trees, but are fully mobile beasts. They are actually animals posing as trees amongst foliage to fool their unsuspecting prey. From the concept art they look to be things, mad plants, rather than individual entities. They do not have faces, and they are not bipedal bodies formed from wood. They are literally demonic trees, soulless and mindless and deformed by the dark magics that have animated them.
In combat they are strictly mostly [[melee]] fighters, using their bulk and power to deal heavy damage to any targets they can reach. In addition, they will occasionally send out a series of essentially land mines in a straight line pattern towards their target. It should be noted that wood wraiths are immune to damage while in their 'non-targetable' state, and their true identity can be revealed by using a ranged attack on them. If they are in actuality a wood wraith, "Immune" will appear instead of a damage number (assuming that the 'show damage numbers' option is activated). If they are simply a tree, it will show nothing, as you are attacking the environment as opposed to a separate entity.
