Fallen Shaman.

Fallen Shaman return in Diablo 3, their ability to resurrect their kin intact. They are no longer the only higher level Fallen, and have been joined by Fallen Overseers and perhaps other yet to be revealed Fallen types. It's not yet known quite how all the types of Fallen will interact, and they've not yet been seen in action.

Behavior

The Fallen Shaman are said to retain their ability to resurrected dead Imps. They might have other crowd control skills as well, but with other higher level types of Fallen in Diablo III, the shaman may be purely a healing/resurrection unit.

It's not known if they can still shoot fireballs, but it seems likely. They are armed with a long dagger as well as their staves, so it seems likely that they still possess their melee stabbing attack.

Lore

The official description of Fallen Shamen is quick and to the point:

Shaman - Fallen shaman priests lead camps of fallen. I have also heard it rumored that they possess the ability to raise imps from the dead!

Famous Fallen Shamans

Fallen shaman SuperUniques were memorable monsters in Diablo II. It's unknown if they will return in Diablo III. Click through to view the D2 versions of these monsters.
