Fallen Hound

The Fallen Hound is an attack beast allied to the Fallen. Hounds are found with large packs of Fallen, often protecting Fallen Shaman, and they are the strongest of the Fallen melee units.

Large enough for Fallen Imps to ride like horses (though this has not been seen in action), the Hounds can be more dangerous than their masters.

Behavior

Horny chargers?

Fallen Hounds were seen in action at Blizzcon 2009. They act as one would expect from viewing their artwork; sturdy, aggressive melee attackers. They do not seem to benefit from the Fallen Overseers warcry, nor can they be resurrected by Fallen Shamen.

Hounds are often armored with spikes on their foreheads, like rhinoceroses. (Not unicorns. There are no unicorns in Diablo 3.) It's not known if the hounds have any special charging attacks, but it seems likely. They have been seen to run at a high rate of speed.

Lore

A brief description of the Fallen Hounds is provided on the bestiary page.[1]

Hounds - These slobbering abominations are commonly found among groups of the fallen and are utilized as guard animals, beasts of burden, or even food by their demonic masters. These beasts are loyal to a fault, regardless of the abuse heaped upon them.
