Disease is has been named as one of the types of [[damage]] in Diablo III. It is greenish/brown in appearance. Diseased targets suffer a damage debuff, dealing less damage and taking more from incoming attacks. The only official information about this damage type date to December 2010, and the property may have been changed or even removed since then.
No character skills currently list Disease as a damage is not well understood. It's thought to be dealt Witch Doctor skills such as [[Haunt]] and [[Grasp of the Dead]] type, but that's not been confirmed. It it may also still be added to skills via [[runestone]]s found as an item modifier, or item modifiers. Some as a damage type dealt by monsters surely possess Disease damage, but none are yet confirmed. It' snot known if any [[boss modifier]]s impart it.
Disease damage can be [[resist]]ed with Poison resistance. It's not known if it can be [[reduce]]d or [[absorb]]ed, and it can not be [[block]]ed.
It's not known how [[Critical critical hits]] scored interact with Disease damage impart an unknown bonus.
