Disease Damage

Disease has been named as one of the types was to be a type of [[damage]] in Diablo III3. It is greenish/brown in appearance. Diseased targets suffer was similar to [[poison]] damage, except the effect would have been to cause a damage debuff, causing diseased targets (players or monsters) to take extra damage while dealing less damage and taking more from incoming attacks. The only official information about this reduced damage type date to December 2010, and the property may have been changed or even removed since then.
No character skills currently list Disease as a This effect was removed along with all of the other secondary damage typeeffects (save chilling/freezing from cold damage) during late development, but it may still be found as an item modifier, or as a damage type dealt by monsterspre-release.
Disease damage can be [[resistReaper of Souls]]ed with Poison resistance. It's not known if it can be [[reduce]]d or [[absorb]]edis set to reintroduce many damage types and secondary effects, and it can not disease may be [[block]]ed. It's not known how [[critical hits]] interact with Disease damageone of them.
