Kurast used to be a great sprawling city located in the eastern jungles, the second largest city in the eastern kingdom of Kehjistan.

Shortly before the events of Diablo II Kurast was made the capital of Kehjistan, and was nearly overrun by demonic forces.

The current state of Kurast is unknown, but Caldeum is once again the capital of the empire.
