Includes: The Cyclopes have one big black eye on their forehead and their hair is presented by tentacles with a cat eye on top of them. The cat eyes phosphorescence in the dark. They have two big horns coming out of the back of their shoulders. Their body is massive and strong. They have ropes on their arms and they wear belts, pants and boots. Sometimes they wear armors. Their skin is sand brown.
Items Dropped
Desert Cyclopes drop good items. They drop their armors if they wear one, boots, pants, belts, rings, runes, jewels, gems and some good weapons. And of course some gold.
Experience
Desert Cyclopes give lots of experience if you kill them for the first time. On the second time they still give sufficient experience, but on the third time you kill them they don't give much.
Spells and Abilities
- Burning Ray
They use it from a big distance. The ray ignites your character's body and burns him slowly, causing a lot of damage.
- Bone Weapon Attack
Different swings and stabs with the bone sword.
- Charge
Like the paladin, the Cyclops charges at you with his weapon.
- Horn Attack
The Desert Cyclops bends and attacks with his horns by charging at you.
- Sand Dive
When there is sand below their feet, the Cyclopes dive into it and appear next to their victim when they reach it. Their movement in the sand can be noticed if looking carefully.
- Smoke Veil
The Cyclops throws a gas potion that creates a smoke veil. After that he can dive in the sand and hide until he restores his health.
- Stone Skin
Like the barbarian's Iron skin. If you are using the duel system I proposed you can make it absorb some of the damage / http://forums.battle.net/thread.html?topicId=18031101457&sid=3000
Background
As the name shows the desert Cyclopes live in the desert, mostly in the sand areas and the areas with moving sands. They lead a nomad way of life in the borders of the desert, but some of them, with voyager souls, travel out of the desert and they can be found far away of it, even in snowbound mountains. Thanks to the big horns coming out of the back of their shoulders the Cyclopes can easily “dive” in the sand and move underneath it and after that they pop up next to their victim and attack it from an ambush.
The most unique ability of the Desert Cyclopes is their capacity to refract the sunlight with their big eye and to focus it into a ray. The ray can heat and burn their victim in seconds. The Cyclopes attack with their ray from far. The continuous exposure to the ray can cause lethal burnings and it can even turn the sand in glass. This is the main hunting weapon of the Cyclopes and they master it with years. A well trained Cyclops can burn up a whole caravan for minutes although they attack caravans only if they feel in danger. Of course they use this weapon only daytime.
The Cyclops’s skin is rough and thick and it’s hard to pierce even with a sharp spear. They are skillful in using swords made of bones; some of them wear light armor and use shields. They can also defend themselves with their horns. The horns can draw in into special bone shells on their back.
The desert Cyclopes can charge to their opponents with their swords or with their horns using their whole might (like the paladin).
The Cyclopes are not coward creatures and they don’t run from battle but when they feel in danger they use their last weapon – a small exploding potion with poisonous gas that quickly creates a smoke veil. That allows them to burrow in the sand imperceptibly and attack from an ambush. The gas is not poisonous for the Cyclopes.
These masters of the desert are not minions of Diablo and they fight the zombies and the other evil creatures. The Cyclopes attack people only if they are too deep in their territory and they are acting violently. By the time of the invasion of the evil creatures in the desert, the Cyclopes decide that the creatures are sent by the humans and they start to attack them too. At a definite stage humans and Cyclopes unify against the incoming threat.
- Height without the horns - 2 meters or more.
Desert Cyclopes die with a shout and fall to the ground making a puddle of blood. Their blood is black.
