The Demon Flyer is a large, bat-like creature found in the Act One dungeons. They spawn in flocks and possess a lightning charge to add to their melee attack.

Concept art shows a "Pit Flyer Spawner" but no such generative system has been seen for these monsters; they're just found in free flying flocks. Perhaps later in the game spawning caves are found, with greater numbers of these pests.
