Razorbacks are quill-shooting ranged attackers. They are dog-sized, when on all fours, but they regularly stand up on their hind legs, before ducking back down and hunching over, shooting their back blades out at nearby enemies.

They were first seen in the Blizzcon 2010 demo, on the Halls of Agony dungeon level.

Behavior

Razorbacks in action.

Razorbacks are ranged attackers, similar to the smaller Quill Rats seen in Diablo II. They have a melee attack in close, but are mostly notable for their long range, knife-throwing attacks, as they hunch over and shoot the blades from their backs over considerable distances. Razorbacks have a high pitch chittering noise they make while attacking. Razorbacks are vaguely humanoid and can alternate between being on two legs and being on all fours. According to the Blizzcon vids, razorbacks will charge at opponents when they are injured.
