Ghostly Orbs acts as a sort of trap in a dungeon environment, such as a trap on a treasure chest. They do no damage, only summoning Wraiths. Ghostly Orbs are object type monsters.

Ghostly Orbs are a sort of monster generator, creating a Wraith every few seconds until they are destroyed. They've only been seen in the WWI 2008 gameplay movie, when four of them emerge from the floor in a trapped room and begin producing Wraiths as soon as they are active.

It's not yet known if they can turn out wraiths indefinitely, have a set number they may generate or cast spells with mana. Nor is it known if wraiths are worth experience or can drop items when they come from a Ghostly Orb.

Spells and Abilities[edit | edit source]

This spell will continuously summon a Wraith every few seconds until destroyed. It's unknown if there are any other limits, such as a number of charges or a mana value. It seems likely they will continue forever.

Background[edit | edit source]

The reason this type of objects exist is to work as a magical trap to protect the riches of old magicians. If the wrong hands tries to access a treasure, these contraptions turn against the would-be thief.

Diablo I Monster[edit | edit source]

There were no similar monsters in Diablo I.

Diablo II Monster[edit | edit source]

The only similar monsters in Diablo II were the chained tortured souls in Act IV, hell.
