Fallen Shaman.

Fallen Shaman return in Diablo 3, their ability to resurrect their kin intact. They also boast improved offensive capabilities, and cast fireballs more quickly and with greater accuracy.

The Shamen are no longer the higher level Fallen, and have been joined by Fallen Overseers, and perhaps other yet to be revealed Fallen types.

Behavior

Fallen Hounds guard Shamans.

As in Diablo 2, the Fallen Shaman always spawn with a number of minions. They are often found with a pack of Fallen Imps, who they can resurrect[1] when they perish in battle. They have not been seen healing Imps, but this may also be within their power.

Shaman also appear with Fallen Hounds as well. They do not seem able to resurrect these dog-like units, but the dogs are larger, tougher, and much more dangerous than the Fallen Imps, so even with just one life to give they are generally an upgrade over the Imp units.

If Fallen Shaman have other crowd control abilities, they have not yet been seen.

Fallen Shaman have improved offensive abilities in Diablo 3, and can hurl fireballs at much greater rates than they could in Diablo 2. If they possess other improved attacks, they have not yet been seen in action.

Fallen Shaman often spawn with several Fallen Hounds who serve as melee tanks and protectors, freeing the Shaman to act as artillery with their spell attacks.
