Control Icons
===Control Icons===

The six icons seen to the far right are various game controls, though it's not yet known exactly what function each provides. Comparing them to the mini-panel icons from Diablo II is illustrative.

In order, from left to right:
* Character window
* Inventory
* Skill Tree
* Party Menu
* Message Log
* Quest Log
* Game Menu

The six Here are the equivalent icons seen from Diablo III, enlarged and brightened for easier comparison. Reading them from left to right, starting on the top row:* Character seems likely.* This looks like a hostile button, but last Blizzard spoke, there is no hostile option in Diablo III. A single sword is Inventory on the far right are various game controlsmini-panel in D2, so this might just be an upgrade on that, but the next icon looks more like the D3 inventory.* Inventory, with a bag icon for storage.* A Chalice? Unclear what this one does.* This looks like a Party Menu icon, though but it's not yet known exactly what function each provides. Theyclear if there is a party window interface in Diablo III, since with the removal of hostility in games, there're enlarged and brightened s no need for parties; all characters in a regular PvM game are automatically in this thumbnaila party. Still, such a window could be useful for easier studysquelching or private messaging other players.* Gears have become a common icon for the Game Options menu.
This speculative list does not include icons for the Skill Tree menu, a message log, or a Quest menu. It seems quite likely that at least the Skill Tree and Quest Menu should have icons to allow one-click access; perhaps the Chalice is one of these?
