Additional [[end game]] Blacksmith recipes were added in patch v1.07, including the level 63 Archon Armor, Razorspikes, Gloves, and Shoulders.

The Blacksmith creates all types of weapons and armor, via crafting plans that he learns with [[training]]. There are numerous additional plans that drop from monsters, which can be taught to the Blacksmith, including super-rare Set and Legendary plans.
The Blacksmith also creates the [[Staff of Herding ]] which enables access to the Easter Egg level of [[Whimsyshire]]. Blacksmith plans for legendary items are randomly dropped by monsters. The plan for [[Reaper's Wraps]] drops from [[Malthael]], the final boss of [[Act V]].
