This rune effect causes enemies killed by Cleave to explode, dealing 85% weapon damage over an 8 [[yard]] radius. This is an extremely useful effect against large crowds of enemies, and provides the Barbarian with his best early level [[AoE]] skill.
==Post-Release Changes==
Cleave was buffed in the v1.0.4 patch, increasing the damage of the base skill and all the rune effects. Several of the rune effects were given additional buffs as well, though Rupture was not amongst them.[http://diablo.incgamers.com/blog/comments/official-patch-1-0-4-notes/]
