Bait the Trap is a rune effect in [[File:IconCaltrops.png|leftCaltrops]]''', a [[CaltropsDiscipline]]''' is a Discipline -spending [[Demon Hunter skill]] unlocked at [[clvl|Level]] 2.
An This rune effect retains the slowing effect of the base skill, while also providing a +10% [[Alabaster critical hit]] chance buff to the Demon Hunter if she stands in the area of the effect. High level Demon Hunters generally have around 20% critical hit chance, so a 10% improvement is considerable, although critical hit damage is only around 100%, for a single hit. Gaining the bonus is trickier than it sounds, since the Caltrops does not activate until a monster is in the area, and the radius is not very large. So anyone benefiting from this buff would be standing very near at least one monster.
