There will be no PvP in Diablo III at launch. Though Blizzard had long-planned to include promised special PvP Arenas for PvPin Diablo III, they and there were forced playable (and very popular) Arena demos at BlizzCon 2010 and 2011, the developers did not have enough time to delay polish the system until a later patch. As such there will be no PvP Arena mode sufficiently to include it in Diablo III 3 at launch. The Arena system will not be an esport, and the developers do not plan to put a great deal of effort into balancing Diablo 3's PvP combat, in terms of tweaking buffs, debuffs, stuns, CC skills, and all the rest that are required for PvP, but are not a major part of the PvE gameplay.
