The Sources of DiabloWiki are many and varied. Mostly we get Are you looking for information from the official Diablo lore and info from the on Diablo II Manual, the Sources, the Writings of Abd al-Hazir and the Novelsinformation used in DiabloWiki.Net?
As with all wikis, it's important that you as a contributor does not use copyrighted material on this page, as we would have to delete it if we find that. Having said that, it is ok to look for information on the web that likeminded Diabloites gathered, and writing similar material based on that, or quote some information, such as from interviews with developers. Being a wiki, you are generally required to link a reference to the information you gathered.

Sources (formerly Orbs) are Wizard-specific items found in Diablo III. Sources are equipped in the off hand, like shields, but they do not have defensive bonuses and can not be used to block with. They come in a variety of graphics (usually crystal balls, but also books, as seen in the beta), and are simply items with bonus stats, usually to offense or general bonuses. Using a Source is essentially a way for a Wizard to dual-wield Caster Weapons, at the cost of whatever defensive bonuses she might have obtained from using a shield.
Below As blocking is much less useful a list of sites that might be of use to yourself and other editorsdefensive property in Diablo III than it was in Diablo II, using a Source in the off hand, so feel free to use thempurely for the offensive bonuses, as long as you are is not stealing contentsuch a damaging trade off, and make sure to reference since the source (but do look so shield wouldn't have done all that you reference much good anyway. Sources are akin to the right source!)Necromancer's totems, or and add new links that can have good Diablo/Diablo III info:similar bonus properties.
