After the events of [[Diablo II]], resulting in the destruction of the [[Worldstone]], the land has become barren as the Barbarians who used to protect it have left, thus earning it the name of Dreadlands.

The Dreadlands, specifically [[Bronn]], was once visted by [[:Category:Abd_al-Hazir|Abd al-Hazir]] after its ~~distruction~~ destruction and he lamented that the once-beautiful place had been forever changed by the great calamity and now lay as ruined cities and a bleak landscape fit for no living thing.
