Path of Exile is an upcoming free to play fantasy-world MMORPG. It is the first game from New Zealand-based [http://www.grindinggear.com/ Grinding Gear Games], a studio founded by a number of long-time Diablo fans.
Path of Exile will offer six characters classes in a heavily-instanced multiplayer world. The game has realistic graphics and a gothic, merciless vibe.
Game complexity stems largely from a deep item system, headlined by an intricate gem-socketing system, where the skills and spells are tied to gems, and can be added to items with special linked gems.
