Skill Design: removed 1st person account; subjectiveness
Skill Design
There was no need for additional defence at any point during the 2009 demo, so this spell isn't overly tested yet, since it wasn't very necessary. At least not for the (intentionally) overpowered Monk. When cast, this skill creates a large rune on the groundwhere the Monk is standing, with a Stop small, Slow Time-like bubble shield in surrounding the middle on which stands the Monkcharacter. It appeared seems to be impermeable to the movement of melee attackers; the Fallen I used , however it does not protect against couldn't penetrate, at least. They could reach through it, thoughlong-ranged melee attacks. (A Fallen Overseer had has enough range to whack me with his improvised polearm, as I stood hit the character standing in the centermiddle, immediately after casting it. Regular while regular Fallen however, could not, and just stood ringed around the exterior, waiting their turn cannotI didn’t try it against bosses or flying enemies, and there were very few projectile enemies in the BlizzCon build to test that aspect of it against. And it was never necessary, since I was always better off attacking than standing back on defense, with the Monk.)
It is unknown as to how this skill functions with ranged projectiles, flying enemies, or boss fights.
